Today has been so much fun. We were woken up really early this morning, had breakfast, heard the Malvina Farkle Day song, and then I went to Shepherd Elementary and pulled weeds. I talked to a little girl there who was hilarious. Lunch was outside and was laid out on beautifully decorated tables, the food was terrific. Then we had prize drawings, I won a comic book. Dana and I then decided to forge out on our own, into the wild blue yonder that is Adair county. First we went to the shops in town, then we went to a shop on 55. It had lots of books, they were in alphabetical order! The man told us that they owned another shop towards Russle Springs, so we went there too. They had so many neat books, I bought a 1880 book for 50 cents. The lady there was so cool, and she told us where the book store that I found in Columbia on the internet is! The owner use to be the newspaper editor, and they call him the BOOK MAN! Isn't that wonderful. The people here are so nice. Dana and I had so much fun talking to everyone! We also got to know each other better. Malvina Farkle day was definitely a success!
love,
Ashley

Hi!
Ash, It sounds like you are having fun and getting closer to Dana. Did you have to go to class today or was it a free day? Was just wondering. Are you going to bring home your 1880 book and add it to your collection of old books? See you tomorrow.Love Erica Jean.
